This Cruel Design by Emily Suvada was a great sequel to This Mortal Coil. I already loved the world and characters, and this novel further complicated the relationships and surrounding environment. Suvada is quickly becoming a trustworthy author for me, or in other words, an author whose books I’ll read regardless of what they are about. For me, this is an elite club, and very few authors get a coveted spot. I’ll give any author a chance, but these authors are an instant buy for me. I love these characters and I think the concept is super complex and handled really well throughout the first two books. I’m looking forward to finishing this series and finding out what’s in store for Cat and her friends.
