I am not one to usually have to take breaks while reading, but I had to when I read this one. It was a very emotional and heavy read for me, but one that has stuck with me for a long time.
Kai and Han have such a heart wrenching story. Jescie makes you feel all of those raw emotions while you read and it connects you to their story in such a visceral way. Getting this book from Kid’s POV gave such a unique insight to a romance story that you don’t get very often in the romance genre.
Kid is such a classic golden retriever mmc. He is totally obsessed with Han and I’m envious. I want someone to love me the way Kai loves Han. It’s so deep and pure and all consuming for him. I’m seriously so obsessed with this entire story, but especially Kid.

Hawke is the only book I liked from Jescie lol. Her writing is so sexist if you ask me and from her books I think using drugs is trigger for me so that means I'm not going to ever even try reading her books.

Wow. What a story. Absolutely 1K+/1K+ recommended. Jescie Hall is a phenomenal writer, and made Kai and Han out to be so candid that they could’ve jumped off the page. I can’t wait for more of her books!
