Yes! I would give this 6/5 stars. I laughed, I cried, I related to this and was heartbroken by this. Read this and Jennette McCurdy's book right now!
He talks about the physical affects of loneliness and growing up with a single mom and being broke. His sobriety and weight loss journeys are inspiring and he is so honest about them. I liked his description of getting sober and how he talked about physical sobriety vs mental sobriety.
A few paraphrased quotes I really liked: From the sidelines you can either warm the bench and talk to your teammates or you can watch and learn from the people playing; you can hone your skills even off the field. He talks about the Malcolm Gladwell theory on how 10,000 hours makes an expert and how he would watch TV and film and such as his 10,000 hours. He said at one point comedians are rarely funny for a funny reason. And, one of my new favorite quotes I have heard a lot recently is mentioned in this book; smooth seas do not make good sailors.
