On These Wicked Shores by Katherine Quinn
“You couldn’t pick and choose times to love someone. Love meant both sunshine-filled days and cold, hard nights.”

Katherine, first, special thank you to you for sending me a eARC. My heart leapt out of my heart when it hit my email. Can’t wait for book 3!
Book two of the Azantian Trilogy, and Quinn has hit it out of the park again. I fell in with her writing in book one, and when the form for book 2 was out. I hit that button, lighting fast!
I fell in love with Bash and Margrete; the banter, the SPICE, and everything about this couple was just amazing! Then the side characters are fantastic; I love their flow with the couple and their own personalities are the bomb.
Now onto the plot for this book, WOW! The amount of times I may have thought where the story was going. Yea I was wrong. But I won’t say anymore, ya’ll really need to go check out Katerine’s trilogy!

This was a wild ride! The first half of this book was a little slow, but once they got to the island the action was nonstop! And that ending??? I definitely need to know where this story is going, because the story took an unexpected turn that I did not see coming. Can't wait for the 3rd book!

"I trust you with all my days, all my nights, and all the twilight moments in-between."

The story took a darker turn filled with dangerous trials and unexpected twists!

The story picks up right after the ending of book one, it is well written and well paced with major developments on the characters.
Told in mostly dual POVs, the main characters but also other character's POV which makes it more interesting!

Margrete is a lot stronger, trying to learn about her new powers, defense skill and also communicating skill with Bash.
However, Bash character's changes is something I didn't see coming but it was a nice touch to the story-seeing another vulnerable side from him.

I truly love their growing relationship, they're always supporting each other. They're not perfect and made mistakes but they are trying to be better for each other. I have no doubt they bring out the best version of themselves whenever they're together!

"Like hell I'm getting behind you. I fight at your side, princess."

The last few chapters are a wild ride with a twist that surprise me.
The epilogue with the villain's POV let the readers have a glimpse of what's coming on the final book. It'll be even more dangerous and the stakes are higher!

Overall, a great addition to The Azantian trilogy! It's enjoyable and entertaining, will keep you flipping the pages and finish it in one sitting!
I'm looking forward for the final book in this series to know how it all ends. I hope everything got their happy ending!

First off, I want to thank the author for an ARC of On These Wicked Shores. This book was a wild ride!
I thought I liked the first book- the sequel set this book firmly as a favorite series of mine!
On These Wicked Shores has a much darker tone than the first book. It takes place a few months after the events of The Girl Who Belonged to the Sea. Bash and Margrete, along with a few other familiar faces, set off to right the wrongs that took place at the end of the first book but are quickly shipwrecked on a mysterious island on which they have to take part in 3 deadly tasks.
Right off the bat, it was apparent that all is not as it seems with Bash and I really enjoyed reading the chapters from his POV. We learn so much more about our characters and their true histories that they may- or may not- be aware of.
And those last couple of chapters- my mind is still reeling and I am NOT okay.
I’m going to need book three ASAP!
