I finished the book on principle… but it was work! I hated all the characters in the book. They were shallow, cliche, and unlikeable. There were several continuity errors that would not be placed in 1997. I also found the diet talk and weight shame to be incredibly triggering.

I liked her last book much more, but there was a tiny connection between the two. It's just a bunch of middle-aged women caught up in high school.
