A bit cheesy but cute

I enjoyed this why choose about a yoga instructor who works for a hockey team gets broken up with by her terrible boyfriend and then three hockey players from the rival team help her steal her cat back. Then some weird booking issues and they all end up sharing a cottage and the guys help her learn what a real boyfriend should be like and make her feel like. For research purposes only, of course.  This is the fourth book in a quad of interconnected standalones, so I'm going to go back to the start and read the rest now.

Book Description:
The post breakup plan was simple – escape from my toxic ex to a vacation rental and stay far away from men.

But thanks to a booking snafu I’m accidentally sharing it with three hot hockey players. One’s flirty, one’s broody, one’s a cheeky Brit, and they’re all the most attentive men I’ve ever met.

After a couple of glasses of champagne, I’m telling them about the contest my ex is running on his dating advice web site. The topic? What makes a great boyfriend, and I want to submit a column.

All three offer to show me every single thing I’ve been missing in and out of bed.

We make a deal for one week only. It’s only for revenge, of course. I work for the other hockey team in the city so it’d be a big mistake to truly get involved with a rival, let alone three .

Even though I melt under their touch. They show me what it means to be adored, cherished and romanced .

But as the week ticks on, what started as revenge fast turns into me giving my heart to three men I can’t have. Looks like I’m well and truly pucked.

BWBH Review:
Briar’s ex-boyfriend won’t give up her cat. She has no home and just wants her damn cat. While trying to burgle her ex’s apartment, Briar is offered help by three guys. Not just guys…Hockey players. A little bit of small talk later, the four of them find out they will be attending the same festival. What kind of trouble can Briar get into with Hollis, Rhys, and Gavin?

Well and Truly Pucked is the fourth book in Lauren Blakely’s My Hockey Romance series.

The characters🤌
The spice🤌
The HEA🤌

This is my second Lauren Blakely book, and I was not disappointed. Lauren created such relatable and loveable characters. Expect hot chemistry and heavy spice. And let’s not forget the hockey hunks.

Well and Truly Pucked is perfect for readers who enjoy hockey rom coms, friendly banter, and a ménage e trois or quatre.

Thank you to Lauren Blakely for the ARC.

Not my favorite book; the synopsis/ setup for the book made me hopeful, but the story felt flat and lacking in depth. I’m also annoyed enough with the author’s bizarre takes on common turns of phrase and unnecessary use of obscure vocabulary that just don’t fit with the rest of her writing style. I don’t think I’ll seek out this offer again, but the book was still lighthearted and did mostly keep my attention.
