Another great hockey romance by Lauren Blakely. Briar, Rhys, Gavin, and Hollis' story is such a feel good love story, full of funny banter and delicious spice. This is one of those books that captivate you from the beginning and just leaves you feeling good and wholesome. I literally spit out my soda laughing when one of the guys says "Is that woman doing parkour off her balcony or is she trying to break into an apartment?" because that is exactly what I was picturing in my head as I read. I also loved how different and unique each relationship was within the group, and how much love and respect the guys had for Briar. Even Donut and Frances Furbottom warmed my heart. Great story that brings a smile to your face and warmth to your heart.

***ALC REVIEW***
I received this as an ALC
I’m so sad this is the final book (#4) in Lauren’s Why-Choose My Hockey Romance Series.
I love Lauren Blakely’s books and this one is no different.
This audiobook is performed by a full cast of narrators. Samantha Brentmoor, Jason Clarke, Connor Crais, and Teddy Hamilton.
These narrators bring this story to life!
After a crazy break-up with her toxic boyfriend, Briar goes away for a week and ends up sharing a cabin with 3 hockey players from the rival team across town; Hollis, Rhys and Gavin. She finds out her Ex is holding a contest on his dating advice site called “What Makes a Great Boyfriend?” Briar decides to submit to the contest. Her 3 hockey player roommates jump at the chance to help and show her what she is missing.
The spice is always spicy in Lauren’s books.
🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
Samantha Brentmoor is AMAZING as always.
Jason Clarke always surprises me with his accents.
Teddy Hamilton can do no wrong.
Connor Crais is now one of my favorites. (Haven’t heard many books from him)
I love sports romance and of course I will always be in my hockey romance era.
This book is funny, sweet, and spicy! Oh and you can’t forget there is always a furry friend.
What a great way to end this series! I can’t wait to see what is in store, because if you have read Lauren’s books you know we will see these characters again in some way shape or form!

Tropes: hockey romance, rivals to lovers, friends to lovers, forced proximity, one week only, why choose, no swords cross, romance lessons.
funny lighthearted fast-paced

Narrated by Samantha Brentmoor, Jason Clarke, Connor Crais, and Teddy Hamilton

Thanks to Lauren Blakely for the ALC!

The final installment in the series and it does not disappoint. Lauren’s writing is spectacular and this book is no exception. We meet Briar who is being kicked out of her apartment by her now ex-boyfriend (who also tries to steal her cat!). Gavin, Hollis, and Rhys happen upon her when she is trying to get her cat back and help her. They end up double booked in a rental at a festival and decide to just go with it. Things happen and if you’ve read any of Lauren’s other books in this series, you know what haha! I truly love how Lauren can address heavier topics while still having a fun and steamy storyline! They all have some personal issues that they open up to Briar about and it’s really sweet how they trust her and can be vulnerable. Briar is vulnerable as well. This book had me swooning! Of course, we have the best cast of narrators. Each one fits the character perfectly!

“Devour her. I bet she’d like it.”

Whew 😮‍💨 That was such a fun steamy read that left me giggling and so incredibly happy! I’ve never read a Lauren Blakely book, I always hear about them but I’ve only recently have gotten into the Why Choose genre. When I say: I am so excited to go back and read the previous books in this series!

I really loved Blair’s character and the vulnerability and rawness that she had offered to Rhys, Gavin and Hollis. I think the biggest thing I loved about this book was how feral the men were for HER and her pleasure. Yeah, they were getting something out of it. But it was all about Blaire and helping her accomplish reaching an “O” with a partner and what she liked and didn’t like in bed. Most importantly after her failed relationship in the opening of the book, these men truly showered her with the attention and love that she rightly deserved.

There were so many moments in Well and Truly Pucked that made me giggle and blush 🥵 THE SPICE. 😮‍💨🥵 Lauren did not fail to keep me intrigued and tied in to all of the spiciness that this book brought forward. I enjoyed the boys development throughout helping Blair out. They are complete cinnamon rolls.

Overall Well and Truly Pucked was a wick, steamy, fun read that left me entranced from page one. I’m so excited to see what Lauren Blakely has up her sleeve next for readers, because now I am officially one!

Would I recommend: YES
Would I reread: YES

Well And Truly Pucked is the fourth book of the My Hockey Romance series of interconnected standalones. I absolutely love this series and this book didn’t disappoint! Hollis, Gavin and Rhys are all hockey players on the same teams and have a strong friendship. Briar was once a yoga instructor for their team but now works from their rival. After getting accidentally booked for the same B&B the boundary of their friendships gets a little blurred. I loved that Briar knew what she wanted and went after it even though it made her uncomfortable. And the guys were all swoon worthy with how they treated Briar and showed her how a real boyfriend should treat her. This was a fun and spicy romcom that was lighthearted and had great banter between all the characters.

I listened to the audiobook while following along with the ebook and I was excited to learn that Samantha Bretnmoor was the voice of Briar. Jason Clarke as Rhys, Connor Crais as Gavin, and Teddy Hamilton as Hollis was magical! These four really brought these characters to life and the full cast narration was amazing!

If you are looking for a why-choose, hockey romance that will make you smile and giggle as you’re reading, this is the one!

This is book #4 in the My Hockey Romance series.

What to expect:
- hockey romance
- why choose (MFMM)
- fake dating
- cinnamon role MMCs

When I tell you that these men were feral for the female main character but in the cutest way. This was a fun take on a why-choose in a romcom. The dynamics were so funny and the banter between the guys was hilarious in the group chats. This was giving all the spicy tension! 🥵

And my for audio queens 🎧 this is a full cast! And they are each all-star voice actors. Samantha Brentmoor deserves an award for how funny and feminine she is. I forget what I’m doing when I listen to her audio books. And Jason Clarke, Connor Crais, and Teddy Hamilton were seriously hot. And one point I had to stop everything I was doing to just stare off into space to listen to the spice 🫠

So if you love these tropes and you need your next audio, this should get on your list!

Who doesn't need 3 hot hockey players to help save her cat from her toxic ex and then show her what a perfect boyfriend would do over the course of a little getaway where they just happen to all be sharing a cabin?

I could not put this book down! (well okay I did only to sleep and then woke up to immediately finish it). Lauren's hockey books always have me sucked in and needing more.  Give me a spicy, why choose hockey book and I'm in, no questions asked!

The way Rhys, Hollis, and Gavin all care for Briar is so sweet and I cannot get enough of them together! The chemistry between them is scorching hot and will have you panting for more!

It is set to release on May 9th!  Available for pre order now!  I have no doubt that the audio for this book will also be amazing!

Thank you so much to Lauren Blakely and her team for the chance to read and review an ARC of this book.  All opinions are my own!

No doubt in my mind that this book deserves all 4.5 stars from me! It was everything I needed to read!

Overall: 5/5
Spice level: 4/5
Tropes: why choose, rivals to lovers, friends to lovers,  forced proximity, the guys fall first, romance lessons

It all started with a cheating boyfriend and a stolen cat...

This was such a fun and sexy read, per Ms. Blakely's usual. All 4 characters had a lot of real depth and backstory, which can't be easy for a why choose plot. But also, there was a great balance in the POVs between everyone: Briar, Hollis, Rhys, and Gavin.

There is a rivals trope but not in the traditional way. Our men are teammates and Briar conducts yoga classes for their cross-town rival team. Among them, there's no rivalry, just beautiful friendship vibes.

And that friendship and camaraderie made this romance that much easier. These men lived by the saying "I can show you better than I can tell you."

Easily one of my favorite books by Blakely!
