This love story brought the sweet, the heat, the laughs, the tears... it has everything needed to bring on all the feels. Ian and Vanessa are survivors. They've both overcome traumatic events in their lives, but still struggle with survivor's guilt. When a seemingly chance second meeting becomes an amazing career opportunity for Vanessa - as well as a pretend romance turned real - choices must be made between dreams of the past, and dreams of the future. I loved the depth of the characters, and the chances that they each took to get to their very own HEA together.

When Ian meets Vanessa at a support group he attends he is immediately drawn to her and asks her best friend Caroline about her. Caroline runs the support group and tells Ian about Vanessa but encourages him not to pursue her because she is dealing with a lot in her life at that time. A few months later Ian runs into Vanessa at a musical festival that his band Axial Tilt is playing and he gets her hired to take footage of the band.
Vanessa is getting over a horrible accident where her partner/fiancee Sam and her were attacked and Sam was shot and killed while Vanessa suffered a horrible car accident and lost a limb. Now almost a year later she has become a different person where her life used to be all about Sam it is now about her and her happiness. She starts shooting concerts for one of the biggest rock bands Axial Tilt and dating their drummer Ian Conroe. Things however become complicated when the paparazzi gets involved and a lot of Axial Tilt's fans turn on Vanessa.
When Vanessa is fired she leaves leaving Ian heartbroken and he realizes he doesn't want to live a life without Vanessa. The two get back together and are in another terrible accident luckily there are no life threatening injuries and during the recovery although Vanessa attempts again to push Ian away he refuses to let her deny their love. He gives up Axial Tilt to be with her and the two finally get a happily ever after.

I love Vanessa's snarky attitude and personality, I really felt for her and all she had been through. I loved Vanessa and Ian together they were both broken in ways but each one helped to fix the other despite their tragic pasts. I liked the backstory for the next book about Aimee and Brandon the two doctors being included so I could get excited for the next book also.
