Hint: The troubled fuckboy spends a lot of time smirking. I've read enough fanfiction AND questionable romance, both het and queer, that my eyes should have rolled to high heavens and gotten stuck there three instances in. Instead that book had me cooing and grinning from start to end. Page Powars is a god amongst humble mortals for pulling off the unpullable.

Everything is both nuanced and hilarious, Asher is a mess, bless his heart, Noah wings it like a champ, everyone in the character gallery is loveable in their own way (except Seb. He can go sit on a cactus and think on his actions tbh), the mating rituals of the baby gays are disgustingly cute and over-the-top, the plot and narration are at an all-time high, and my roman empire is Mr Fa La La La getting fussed over and thoroughly wooed.

I stan.

This book had me in tears! I loved Noah’s internal monologue about body dysmorphia it felt so true to life in a way I’ve never read. It was also very fun to read and at one part had me laughing so hard my roommate came in and asked what was so funny. I then recommended the book and she immediately placed a hold on Libby. That’s how much queer joy is embedded in this book!

Started out cute and kinda strong and felt like a kdrama in tone which  isn’t really my favorite but i was down for the ride. but the romance didn’t lock in for me so i had to spend the rest of the book tolerating the kdrama vibes while also tolerating a skinny romance. i get why the teens liked eachother but they didn’t have enough normal or flirty dialogue. Like a kdrama it went straight to “im in love w u but i must control my emotions” and unfortunately my favorite part of any romance comes BEFORE that part.

overall, cute but gave me a headache towards the end

Could have been 2/3rds shorting and so much better. Also it was over 50% through before I even learned what the book was kinda about and there was little drops of what it was about through out but not well done.
