The premise is entertaining but the execution could use some work. It felt a fair bit more like an idea being worked out than a novel per se. Per some stuff the author has said in interviews, he didn't employ an editor for the first few. It's not bad, but I feel like it needed a bit more depth.

I read this because of a different book's bad review. That amuses me.
The main character has a motto I like, "What is, is." That said, he seems to have had trauma all his life, in various forms. This book has an interesting progression, but the classes seem limiting, and the bad characters (looking at the cheater) are disgusting. They don't even have a positive influence on the story, but make things worse. In the book, the idea seems to be, 'how much can we push the main character before we gleefully enjoy him breaking?' I'm unsure whether I liked this book. It was a great read, but the ending just lost me.

Pretty ordinary. The only thing that differentiates this from any other sub-par LitRPG is the fact the protag is LGBT and POC. The same misogyny, flat characters, rote mechanics, facile storyline, and protag with the emotional depth of a wet rag that plagues the genre as a whole.

I liked it. Not best in genre by far but I liked it enough to read a second one.

I loved this book and the fact that the protagonist is bi or pansexual just enhanced my enjoyment. I like the character of Roxley and especially love his effect oh John (even if some of it is Roxley's charisma stat. Good introduction to the world and characters.

Earth is converted into a dungeon planet. The MC is in a high level area when the change starts and "the system" grants him some perks as balance.
He gets an companion and an advanced class and levels fast.
Ends up in a city and cannot really decide betweeen getting involved and being the lone wolf.
Good Entertainment. but I cannot discover any real story arc. He will get stronger as the monsters around him...
