This book mostly made me angry. Like, it's purposely demonstrating how wild a part of wealthy culture is, and it worked and it made me mad. I've decided private schools should be banned, including exclusive colleges. This is a problem that literally effects me not at all, but I wanted to yell at every single character. Like even the "good" characters were highly dislikable.
The way Maren dealt with her rapist was...questionable. I have no idea how I'd react in that circumstance, but this didn't feel realistic. idk, rape is terrible and awful, and date rape is just as bad. But she was so mean to Naomi, who literally for real had nothing to do with it.
Also, the gratuitous sexual exchanges between Alicia and her husband struck me as out of place and also unpleasant. So not a fan of that.
