Not nearly as good as the first one imo. However, it was good enough for me to binge read..
My biggest issues with this book?
1. Paisley was WEAK — she REFUSED to listen to literally anyone who knew her situation, and while she had her reasons she NEVER shared them she just kept brushing things off.
2. Paisley also took so much crap from her family, like defend yourself babe, realize that toxic is toxic and take a step back.
3. Jagger— first wtf kinda name is Jagger?? Is she a Rolling Stones groupie?? But he’s mostly fine except I felt so in the dark as the reader about everything, I get that it’s supposed to have this dramatic miscommunication arc but for the love of all things holy I wanted to be a little aware of what was going on with him before 70%
4. Also Jagger, my boy you’re in love after like 5 minutes?? That’s CRAZY also can you actually love a person if you don’t know half of what’s going on with them?
All these things were annoying, but I still enjoyed the vibe, Paisley and Jagger are nowhere near as great of a leading couple as December and Josh, let’s see what way Book 3 goes, I’m hoping it’s Grayson
