"Time is the substance I am made of. Time is a river which sweeps me along, but I am the river; it is a tiger which destroys me, but I am the tiger; it is a fire which consumes me, but I am the fire." - Jorge Luis Borges
A book I will read again...and again...and again. As many times as it takes to instil its simple yet therapeutic truths into my brain that's addicted to acceleration, and to learn the art of joyfully missing out.

For a recovering productivity addict and life hacker, this book was a godsend. Interesting, informative, challenging, and a huge breath of relief to realize that I don't need to optimize every minute. I also really appreciated Burkeman's wide-ranging research on time through history, spirituality, sociology, and psychology. It was helpful to see/realize that this alternative view on "time management" is similar across time, religions, and cultures.
Highly, highly recommend this book for anyone interested in time management, productivity, life hacks, and/or vocation/passion/work.
