I really like the writing style of this author. She has a knack for creative writing and the story was very interesting, but dark at times.

I have so many emotions finishing this book. It was such an unexpected tale for me. So unique that I think I will be grappling with my thoughts for days to come. One of a kind.

I will never be the same again. I have never felt such visceral emotions (every emotion from terror to elation) from a book. It felt so real and so intense. I was sobbing. I’m destroyed. My jaw is on the floor. [Check trigger warnings].

Inti, the head of a team of scientists attempting to re-introduce wolves in Scotland, faces a reluctant community and her own personal trauma. This book will appeal to those interested in re-wilding. Trigger warning for abuse and violence.

A quick weekend read that shined a light on the role wolves play in the ecosystem. Something that’s never crossed my mind. The first third was a little slow, but the remaining chapters were hard to put down.

This book is absolutely wonderful. Charlotte McConaghy does an amazing job transferring Inti’s Mirror Touch to the reader, carrying you along Inti’s life and lessons in Scotland. Very few books have made my heart hurt so much with empathy and loss for the actors, but Inti and the wolves are forever with me now. Five hearts for this book in addition to five stars.
