what am amazing read. i decided i’ve outgrown the CoHo genre but just when i think i have i read an amazing book like reminders of him. different than her usual plot with romance being at the center of it…. but rather love and emphasis on family and relationships with romance being a side theme. definitely a good read! would recommend. the plot has you hooked from the beginning to end. i couldn’t put it down and finished in two days!! :)

CoHo does it again! I haven’t been able to be immersed in a book in over two months- this one filled that void and then some! This book is filled with heartache, loss, love, and forgiveness. I couldn’t put it down- I devoured it.

I feel like I’m just saying the same thing every time I review another book written by Colleen Hoover. This one was, once again, insanely good. Every book I read from Colleen becomes my new favourite book. I just don’t understand how every character in every book I’ve read written by Colleen Hoover manages to become a part of my life. They truly feel like real people I know in my own life and I’m just reading their diary.

This book shows us that people aren’t defined by their past and that every one is fighting their own battle. You might never now what your neighbour is dealing with. Colleen manages to include such import life lessons in all of her books, and just because of that reason alone you should read her books.

‘Reminders of him’ is going to be a story I’ll keep in mind for a couple of weeks or even months. I loved this one so much. The character, the letters, the story itself - everything.

I’m in tears as I write this. This book made me feel so many things, and it’s now got a spot in my top favorites of all time. Colleen Hoover has created another masterpiece.

THE EMOTIONS. When I tell you I sobbed I’m not even kidding

Five years ago, Kenna Rowan made a mistake that took everything she loved away from her and landed her in prison. Now that she's been released, she wants to get back to the only thing she's been living for - her daughter. Her guardians, however, want Kenna to stay as far away from her as possible, maybe even for good reason. When Kenna gets to town, she has an immediate connection with Ledger, only to find out that he is one of the people who has been raising her daughter all these years and hating Kenna for what she did.

I wanted a book that would tug at my heartstrings, and boy did I get it. I definitely think that this book is a bit of a misnomer. Were this not written by Colleen Hoover, I'm not sure this would have been published as strictly a romance. At least compared to the other book I've read by her, All Your Perfects, the focus here was not on the relationship between the two romantic leads, but rather it was on Kenna and her struggle with grief, guilt, and being separated from her daughter. Rather than rooting for the couple to get together, the audience is wanting people to see the good in Kenna. I really liked following Kenna as a character. She was very fleshed out between her present, past, and outside perception. The epistolary element was a good way to tell the story. And all I wanted was for mother and daughter to be reunited, so I couldn't put this down! The ending nearly had me tearing up. I think that Ledger could have been a little more fleshed out and that there were a few comments that seemed really performative (e.g. mentioning out of nowhere how "diverse" the people that Ledger hires are).

Overall, this was solid! I get why it's making its rounds but wish it was being marketed a bit more accurately.

i completely understand the hype of this book now and i just wish that i had read it sooner. i think the only word i could truly use to describe this book is “beautiful.”

(i cried way too many times reading this book, more than i have reading any other book ever.)

It was going to be a 3 star rating, but when I had to read the last 100 pages in one hit and getting a bit emotional at points, I had to give it 5 stars. An easy read.
