The Family Gathering has been an engrossing tale catching up with everyone at Sullivan’s Crossing. This series is based in Colorado on the Continental Divide Trail. The way Robyn Carr has described the setting is absolutely breathtaking. I have been engrossed in the characters and have fallen in love with all of them, I have a soft spot for Sully!
The new characters introduced in this book are Sid and Dakota. Sid is getting over a divorce and Dakota has just been discharged (not honourably) from the army, Dakota has something tragic which happened in his past. We catch up with Cody and Sierra (I really want to say what they went through in this book, but I’m not giving spoilers) heartbreaking comes to mind.
At the start of each chapter in each book Robyn Carr leaves you with a quote and I have related to a lot of them in my life for example:
“Family connexions were always worth preserving, good company always worth seeking” - Jane Austen.....
I hope you enjoy as much as me my goodreads friends.

Excellent series and character development. Quick easy reads, yet they actually have a plot and take place over several months.

The third in a series that takes place in a small town semi near Denver, CO. The series centers around the Jones family - four siblings, two boys and two girls and this book centers around Dakota Jones. Dakota Jones returns to where his siblings had flocked and is going to stay here for a bit until he moves onto his next stop. An Army guy, Dakota Jones hasn't kept in touch with his family and hasn't ever really made a home, but maybe he will want to make a home here.
