3.5 stars! Started a little slow, but seemed to pick up towards to end. Was really enjoying it until the last chapter. I don’t feel that the last chapter was necessary and makes the whole thing feel cliche.

I won this in a goodreads giveaway. This book was intriguing and kept me guessing. I was surprised by the plot twist! However, I'm personally more in favor of an ending that answers my questions instead of leaves me wondering what in the hell just happened. If you like an open-ended book that leaves you wondering, then this is the book for you! Otherwise, it was a bit disappointing to never really find out what had happened.

I will definitely have to come back later for a star rating because I need time to process and think through that ending. 

I am all for an ambiguous ending but seriously, what was that!?

I really enjoyed the plot for the most part. I really didn’t like the characters but that isn’t necessarily a bad thing. I don’t think characters have to be likable to enjoy a book. 

I was wholly gripped until the last couple of chapters. At that point, it got a tad bizarre, then rushed, and finally with the last chapter I don’t even know what I think.

DNF at chapter 4.

it just wasn't for me, hence why i'm not placing any sort of rating for this book. a shame that this is my first endeavour into the domestic thriller genre that everyone enjoys and it wasn't a fun experience.
