A beautiful story, the premise of a deal made after dark, and the catches and snags of living with it. This tale unspools like tangled yarn, beautiful words spilling out messily until the end when it seems a tapestry rather than a mess. One trail follows the Addie Larue of long past, the other follows her present.

The ending I have my own thoughts on, and the beginning lagged a little, but I can’t deny the captivating gravity of Addie Larue, a wild thing.

Wanted it to be better than it was. A slow meditation on art, life, and memory. Too melodramatic for me.

Beautifully written character story, but I was frustrated by the end. Also Swiss is not a language and I found myself pulled from the book with this editing miss.
