omg. i loved you Addie, i feel like you're the version of me that lived a hundred lives.
i have a love and hate for Luc, sometimes i feel like he was written by women another and other times by a completely real life men

mourning the life you could have is sooooo relatable ugh, it was physically harming me reading this masterpiece

All I can say is this book left a permanent mark on my heart. I was heaving and sobbing when he died and everything that followed. Such a beautiful masterpiece

This book is written beautifully, and the concept is really strong, but something is lacking. I felt like the author wanted to do a character study of Addie, and in some ways Henry, in this Magical scenario, but the characters didn't develop that much, so it just ended up being repetitive. Albeit a beautiful repetition, which led me to enjoy reading it, but I understand who didn't.

The imagery of this book is absolutely stunning with characters who learn and grow throughout. My only gripe was with the ending as I found it a little rushed and lacking, what I would have written in its place I’m not sure, but it didn’t hit the spot I thought hence the -0.5 star. Other than that, it was long but very enjoyable; this is a book you really should check the trigger warnings for too!
