I loved the first half, which was mostly worldbuilding, and felt meh about the second half, which was mostly character. The world was amazing and the prose was great, and the characters seemed super cool in theory, but all felt kinda flat in practice. I couldn't get invested in any of them.

It was a slow build, but the story really grabbed me once I was about 1/3 of the way in. Lots of LGBTQ+ representation, commentary on rampant capitalism, and great dystopia fantasy.

The world building was so interesting and immersive!!! The characters and plot probably won't stick with me but I loved the setting and concepts explored here.
