Okay so this one is the best story in the Creature Collection!!! I’ll have to pick up more stories by Josh Malerman for SURE!
So I listened to this one, and the “Do you have my face?” gave me CHILLS! My jaw almost dropped when I heard it, the imagery it gave me was perfect, ugh!

"Some chilling campfire tales ring too true to ignore." Fortunately, you can safely ignore this one about the bridge to... facial injustice. No, seriously. The thing steals faces and Brenda has to face it... face to face... with FaceTime.

'It Waits in the Woods' started out with an interesting premise, and I enjoyed the distant narrative voice that explained the myth of demon that lives in the woods. However, as soon as the story began to focus on Brenda, I felt as though that original voice was lost, and the narrative became a little dry as the pacing slowed down and became too detailed. Moments of tension were overwhelmed by irrelevant descriptions. The plot itself was fine, but provided nothing new.
As others have mentioned, the end was unsatisfying. Which is unfortunate as it had massive potential.
I really tried but it took too long for something to happen and I got bored.
