I really like this author's writing, it has been an amazing discovery. Her stories are also really good and it's not just romance or sex, it has a message, it portraits strong, complex women, with their vulnerabilities and flaws, who crave independence and autonomy and yet can enjoy and learn to sharetheir lives with their loved ones in a healthy way.
I'm hoping to read more of Clare's titles in the future.

Got burnt out on the storyline. The eventual ending seemed predictable and I was bored.

Goodness. Okay, where to start? So much happens in this book. We were left in a rather precarious and heart-wrenching place at the end of book 3. Through Dark Storms picks back up with your heart in pieces, but don't worry--Clare promised us a satisfying ending and she definitely delivered. To avoid spoilers to both the series as a whole and this book in particular, there aren't a lot of details I can relate. Despite being a fairly straightforward plot (did I just say that? because it feels like so much when you're in the thick of it), it's compelling as anything and kept me turning pages. But the real treat? Watching all those loose ends tied up. And the feels! Your heart is safe with this book (ish. safe-ish). I smiled so much by the time I'd finished that my face hurt. Definitely a great series ending. I can't wait to see what Clare writes next!

- well. Im glad she’s captain. Although I’m not convinced she’s changed enough
- huh. Mama is dead. Very unexpected. I guess we’ll see if it was necessary
- also don’t like George. He’s…spineless
- she’s barely a captain and now promoted to queen??
- Mercia must be a bad guy. But I’m confused. I can’t believe Mercia and George are really in love
- wait. Her sister is a highwaywomen? I feel a story for kat and this fae
- wow. So Fitzroy is getting a book maybe? I can see it tbh. Kat is definitely getting a series.
- it was nice. I still stand by it was too long.
