Sorry this wasn't hot for me.
I wanted a page turner but when she was on about having babies I was just so confused. How did we get there? Why?

Ok, let's put aside the sexiness of this book, because I think it's obvious that it's smoking. ;) It is hilarious. The characters are fun and somewhat awkward (at least Livia, the female lead.) Chase, the male lead, is filled with that cocky confidence that so many of us gals find appealing. The sexual tension these two have kick in the first time they meet, though it doesn't take long for them to act on it. This story has that 'I don't want a relationship' thing going on (both in agreement to,) only for each to fall for the other, yet it takes them forever to notice and accept it. There are a few sad moments to keep you in balance. (It can't all be fun and games after all.) It does have a HEA. It well written and reads quickly and easily. Because of the sexual nature, it is recommended for mature readers.

There really isn’t much to say about this book except for the fact that there is an ungodly amount of breeding in this which was pretty hot.

"Note to self, see if Livia is willing to play Sexy Librarian after we play Find the Nightstick."

NOW, having said that the book did have a lot of good going for it as well. It was fantastically well written. You would never be able to guess there were two different authors writing it. The pace was fairly good. Some parts felt a little slow, but nothing that led to me feeling the need to skim. The sex scenes were plentiful and smokin' hot. There was no OW/OM drama, and I didn't find it particularly drama-filled. There was some very amusing laugh out loud moments and two (for the most part) likable main characters. I would have liked to have seen more depth to Livia's character or more background depth I guess. She swears off men but her reasons for doing so seem a bit vague and a bit over the top for the info we are given. Chases' reasons for being the way he was were more understandable. Lastly, it's all wrapped up with a pretty sweet epilogue one year on.
So a little bit of a mixed bag but in the end, the good did outweigh the annoying so two thumbs up from yours truly.
