I am entirely convinced this goofy, refined summit of literature was crafted specifically with me in mind. This is not for everyone: most people would probably hate it. Tbh, sex to make a baby is essentially taboo romance in the modern era, which cracks me up but I’m secure enough in my sexuality that I literally could not care less. I, personally, love this exploration of what sexual relationships are most fulfilling for them. She wants entirely procreative. He is accustomed to entirely pleasurable. It’s use either way— there’s something missing without both elements being involved. I will never let go of my excitement of seeing that on the page!
I’m not really in it for the smut, despite what you may have heard about me. As a result, I don’t particularly mind the cringe content there. I don’t know why we feel the need to write out people saying someone’s name over and over again, or specific exclamations. Most of that content is not terribly memorable, imho. I will say, Chase has a way with words when he’s pissed of during sex that I profoundly appreciate & did not expect. Then enter: THE MATING TALK. It makes me giggle & squeak. I love them being shy about it. I love them being shocked by it. I love them fully embracing it. I’ll take it anyway you want to serve it. As someone who is currently 31 weeks pregnant, I am THRILLED by talk of a woman trying to conceive having the best sex of her life, then a pregnant woman having incredible sex, or even post-partum women having unabashed consecutive orgasms. YES! Especially since it’s not “even though….” or “still…” or “despite…” but instead it’s the mother of my children is a hecking masterpiece and I want to explore this fertility fascination for the rest of my life. I can be pregnant & sexy at the same time— ALL MIXED TOGETHER. Not compartmentalized. I really don’t care if my body or bodies like mine makes people uncomfortable & neither does this author, apparently.
This is the best HEA of all time. I am confident no one will top it. The final chapter + epilogue is perfection. I want to spoil ALL of it but just know— you shall be sated.

This was a sweet little read. Actually I dont think you can really call it sweet because it was sooooo smutty lol
It was my first LP book so I was in for a surprise with the amount of smut.
I loved that it was a librarian/cop pairing. Always a fave of having a bookish character set up with a public servant and librarians/bookstore owners etc are my fave.
The only thing I wasnt a fan of what that there was no slowburn to the smut AT ALL.
and it was happening before the 'contract terms' were even negotiated.

Love me Hot Cop. I loved the writing and storyline. I couldn't stop reading it. Love Laurelin Paige and Sierra Simone books. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
I’m not usually a big fan of the book in which someone is looking to get pregnant and raise a child on their own. Basically, looking for a sperm donor. Hot Cop is one out of two books just this week that I am reading about such a topic and I was a little apprehensive going in. But, I love Laurelin Paige and Sierra Simone separately but when they write a book together? Pure magic!
The plot is what you would expect. Livia is a librarian looking for a sperm donor because she is nearing death (she’s 29) and would like to raise a child. Enter one hell of a hot cop, Office Chase Kelly. He’s looking for nothing more than to give Livia the Kelly Trio (I volunteer as tribute!). When Livia realizes that Chase would be the perfect “baby-daddy”, craziness ensues and this book takes you on a wild ride!
Livia and Chase had chemistry that jumped right off the pages from the start. From their very first meeting, the two of them will have you laughing out loud. The sex is VERY hot (don’t bother with the panties, ladies) and there were some twists in turns in the story that were unexpected but totally great! I usually don’t think much about the epilogue, but this one was fantastic!
Hot Cop is a hilarious, sexy read in which the characters just jump right off the pages. Livia and Chase will make you fall in love!

Unexpectedly sweet!! I fell for chase with livia . So cute and hot!!
Sierra and Laurelin are KILLING IT with these books. This is the second book co-written by these two and it keeps getting better and better!!! I can imagine those two ladies taking the literary world by a STORM if they continue to write more books together.
I LOVED their previous book they did, Porn Star, but Hot Cop had more STEAM, HUMOR, EMOTION, and just MORE. I never wanted it to end so I had to MAKE myself slow down for it to last.
Hot Cop was on the top of my TBR list when I found out it was a woman trying to get pregnant. I FLOVE books with kids in them, even when it's about making a kid. ;) There were MANY scenes that you're going to have a fan going to cool you down. I certainly did!!
If you love a bookworm heroine, a melt your panties hero, or SCORCHING chemistry, then Hot Cop is THE PERFECT summer read for you!!

Idk man, what was this book?
I really liked the parts I liked and I hate the parts I hated, there's no other way to describe my feeling toward this.
But, of course, I'll be reading the companion book
