What a fun and sexy read! It was lighthearted and hilarious, but serious and thoughtful when it needed to be.

I fell in love with Chase and Livia immediately and didn't want to put this book down! Their chemistry was scorching hot and had me fanning myself for most of the book. I mean, who can resist playing Sexy Librarian and Find the Nightstick?!? ;) Their playful banter and innuendo had me laughing so hard! I also really appreciated that there wasn't any unnecessary drama thrown into the mix, like crazy exes or other women/men truly competing for our hero and heroine's affections. The issues both Chase and Livia face are honest and realistic fears and made me root for them more. I'm normally not a fan at all of the manwhore hero, but once Chase meets Livia, it's acknowledged and all left in the past. Seeing him be so nurturing and committed to Livia and the prospect of becoming a father was so endearing. Throw in that he's actually a closet nerd and I was sold!

Although the plot was fairly predictable (there was a surprise or two though!), it didn't detract from my enjoyment at all. The epilogue was beyond perfect and left a huge smile on my face. I loved the overall message of the book about living life fully and not letting fear control or stop you. This is my first book by Laurelin Paige & Sierra Simone together, but I know it won't be my last!

*I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this book*

I listened to this audiobook which definitely saved this book for me.

I liked the plot and the ending.

Hero was absolutely delectable.

Heroine got on my ever loving nerves.

So listening to this book let me connect with it better I think so I actually finished it.

First of all I want to say this book actually made me blush. I don't think I can recall when a book actually did that.

The sex in this book took off right from the start and continued. I'm glad it slowed down a little bit as I felt I was going to hyperventilate (seriously hot)

Livia Ward just had her 29th birthday and she's feeling almost desperate for a baby. Doesn't want a mate. A chance meeting with Policeman Chase Ward makes her feel a contract between the two of them is ideal. Man-whore Chase gets unlimited sex with Livia with no strings attached and Livia gets her baby.

The more time they spend together the more they open up and allow the other one in. I love how Chase inserts himself into Livia's baby plans. Their shopping trip is hilarious. Mr. Hotty also proved that he was there to support her even in times she didn't realize she needed the support.

I fell more and more in love with Chase as the story progressed. Livia is one very lucky lady. These two are ideal together. Their bantering is awesome.

I was either always sweating from the hotness in this book or laughing with a few 'aaaaawwww' moments thrown in.

This is a wonderfully written book that I thoroughly enjoyed reading and highly recommend others to read.

Livia Ward is a 29 year old librarian who thinks that she is knocking on death's door.... just because she will be 30 in a year. Officer Chase Kelly is not only a super hot cop... but also the brother of her friend and co-worker. So when Chase asked her on a date she said yes with an agenda in mind. She wants to have a baby, but has sworn off men... especially men like Chase. So she asks him to help her get pregnant, with his baby.

Of coarse we all know that continuous sex will most likely lead to actual feelings. But for some reason these 2 think that they can keep it all professional. So you can imagine how this story goes.

It has some really hot scenes that are unforgettable! (especially the one that it later comes out she got pregnant during!) I had to walk away to stand in front of my air conditioner on more than one occasion. Along with all the hotness is a sweet story of people who are afraid to fall in love, but do anyway. They keep coming up with reasons to be together that have nothing to do with admitting their real feelings. One of the greatest "just knock me up" stories I have had the pleasure of reading.

I enjoyed Hot Cop, but I have to be honest the plot seemed like an excuse just to write sex scenes. Those sex scenes were great, but I didn’t find it at all believable that Chase would be willing to agree to impregnate a woman he barely knew. And it was even more unbelievable that Livia would ask him.
I liked both Chase and Livia. But I would have maybe liked a little more background, especially Livia and her aversion to relationships. Of course, from the beginning you know how this story is going to go. To be fair most romance is predictable and this was no exception, but it was still a worthwhile story. Once I accepted the unbelievable impregnation story line, I enjoyed seeing the relationship between Chase and Livia grow. As this was a dual POV book it was great seeing each of them develop feelings and their internal struggles that go along with it.
The audiobook was read by my absolute favorite narrator Jacob Morgan and the wonderful Elena Wolfe. The narration was fantastic and highly recommend the audiobook. Jacob does cocky like nobody else, and his voice just does things for me. I could listen to just about anything read by him. I also love Elena, and though I do tend to prefer male narrators, her voice is so pleasant to listen to. Both of them really made the characters come alive.

Do people actually do this? Also fuck the police, literally in this case

3.5*

To be honest there was more to like about this than not. I wanted to rate it 4* but I couldn't. The way Livia acted so many times around Chase annoyed me. Any woman worth her salt, any woman who's as smart and independent as Livia claims to be who loses all her brains around a hot guy, even Chase The Hot Cop, annoys me just on principal. So that gets half a star knocked off. Just out of sheer annoyance.

But negating that is just how much fun this was. It doesn't try to be anything more than what it is. It's not reinventing the wheel here. It's called Hot Cop for crying out loud. But fuck me, it was so much fun!

Plus lets be real, I'm Sierra Simone trash.
