Great start to the new series. I’m glad we are getting more of Seth and Kendra. This one was a bit more predictable than the last two Fablehaven books, but I’m hoping that’s just because this was the first of five. I’ll be excited to see where the next ones go.

Nostalgia!!!! Seamless transition in my opinion from the original Fablehaven series :) The story 100% evoked the original and unique emotional pulls that Kendra and Seth both have on the reader in every previous book. Quick and easy read while still extremely engaging!!!

Ran into this book at the library when I spotted Brandon mull’s name and apparently there’s a sequel series to fable haven?? Like with Kendra and Seth and everything? (I keep saying their names as Sendra and Keth in my head I do not know why) picked it up for a quick fun read and that it was! It picked up right where fablehaven left off and I think it did it pretty seamlessly, it felt like fablehaven! I haven’t read the og books in many years though so I did not remember a lot of the passing references to other characters

My first audiobooks and I'm done with audiobooks forever. There were like five dragons in the whole books. The audio quality was terrible. A lot happened and nothing happened. Characters lost potential. The narrator screamed too loud and whispered too low. Idk bye

October 2023 - starting my "Dragonwatch" reread" after my recent "Fablehaven" reread!
1/19/2017
I truly cannot ever imagine a "Fablehaven" novel that fails to delight and entertain me to the fullest extent possible.
When I was 12, I read the first "Fablehaven" story and to say I was obsessed would be an understatement. This is a series that solidified my already firm love of fantasy into a love that has inspired me to write my own fantasy worlds and stories. This is a creative, one of a kind, and utterly delightful series written by Brandon Mull, who's imagination never ceases to amaze me.
Okay, I'm gushing a lot, but this series means so much to me! The fact that I get to revisit this world over a decade later is awesome. And I think Mull has done a epic job of reacquainting readers with Kendra and Seth Sorenson. The story meshed wonderfully with where the main series ended, and yet manages to create a brand new arc that makes perfect sense.
I am SUPER eager to see more of Kendra's and Seth's abilities as they grow more into their roles- roles from both the last books and what is given to them in this novel.
Solid 5/5! I'm going to go reread the books (again) while I await the next story...
