I really didn’t enjoy this book, I have to only give it 1 star because I’d have liked to have stopped reading it and moved on to something else but the 4* rating kept me going. 

I’m a bit confused about the ratings of this book, it’s described as having a medium pace but nothing really happened, it perfectly describes a lazy holiday by a lake. 

The descriptions are all beautiful, I just don’t know what the point of the book is, I’m not sure what story it’s telling or what point it’s making. 

All the characters are pretentious and while I know that’s the point, I got very bored of their pontifications.
