Gry really annoyed me, acting that her friends are selfish for not wanting to help with the kids. As if it wasn't her decision to have kids. Also her saying about her friends "they wouldn't get through a single day without her", she's a horrible person.
I really enjoyed Karen's character alongside Adam and Sylvia. I wanted a bit more from the ending but fantastic nontheless. Highly recommend this book and a fantastic pick for women in translation month!

Wow wow wow, het boek greep me meteen, heel relatable boek voor 30’ers. Een vriendengroep met verschillende fases in het leven die elkaar proberen te vinden in wat hen samen bracht in het verleden. Love it!

Was excited to read this on holiday, had good reviews and it sounds like a good beach read.
But basically nothing happens… it’s a slow holiday with a group of really fucking annoying friends by a lake. They supposed to be a very pretentious friend group but I guess it’s written too well because I like none of them finding them all too pretentious. But this meant every thought they had I found annoying.
Also as a queer reader the main character we follow is bisexual which I would usually like but I found her thoughts towards queerness AGAIN pretentious and just so jarring
