Esio Trot

Roald Dahl

This book was cute in a strange Roald Dahl kind of way. The cuteness of the old man being so in love with his neighbor that he willingly buys 140 tortooises is adorable to me. However, I was slightly stressed about the fact that the woman didn't recognize the fact that her turtles were changing every day. What a weird, whacky story.

The art and writing is so nostalgic, but I cannot help but feel the whimsy has dissipated slightly as I got older. The deception! But the drawings are so cute and its intent was a wholesome story…. at the end of it all… thankful that Alfie went to a good home.

Un Dahl davvero per piccoli, ma la storia del signor Hoppy non può non strappare un sorriso anche ai più grandi.

What a quirky little story.

Wow, this book is toxic.

Oh noooooo.
