This is probably one of the most problematic children's books I've ever read.... WTF were you thinking Roald Dahl??

I actually can't believe the take away lessons from this book. It's okay to lie and steal from someone you love? It's okay to build a relationship with someone you love based entirely on lies and deception and manipulation?! Animal abuse is okay as long as you give them all back to the pet shop for free cause they're gonna find homes eventually?!
I'm not even gonna start on Mrs. Silver and how terrible a picture she paints for women.

The book is readable but definitely not the best one he's wrote.
