It was so cute! Although I don’t think he understands what attachment Mrs Silver had to Alfie for him to give away like that, if that had happened to me I would’ve been devastated.

It is a funny little story of a man wanting to catch the attention of a lady. So he decided to help her in her dream of getting her turtle to grow in size.
A very clever way it was, and they lived happily ever after.
Can't stop thinking about what are we teaching the children in this story?
To lie and manipulate others to get what they want?
I think it is better to make it simple and just think of how the story is a funny one and how clever Mr. Hoppy was and naive Mrs silver was. Enjoyed it.

It's not one of my favourites by Roald Dahl at all.

This book was quite an unquie find for me. It isn't like many other books and has that special Roald Dahl sparkle.
