Another great read from Stephen King. The book started really nicely but had a lull that had me lose some interest in the middle. Some of the conversations, especially, were a bit tedious. However, the book builds up nicely towards the end. The end is chilling and very well written.
Is there an author that can best Stephen King in the closing chapters? I don't think so. I am always reminded of how Misery and Under the Dome built up towards the end. The latter book's writing had me feeling like I was suffocating along with the town's inhabitants. Here again, I went through the same thing while he was writing about the main event that led to all the town's troubles.
I probably would like to give the book 4.5 stars, but the book was just too dragged out in certain sections—still a great read.

*4.5 Stars. Obsessed - one of his greats. Genuinely scared me and some bits were so horrific. Gr8 characters as per. Loved.

After a seven-year hiatus from King's works, "Bag of Bones" reignited my love for his writing. As a married father, the theme of loss deeply resonated with me. This book was a roller coaster of plot and heartbreak, delivering a fantastic ghost story that leaves me eager for more King novels.

This is a great story in which, as usual, king has great character development. Things got a bit odd near the end, but intensely tragic as flashbacks reveal the reasons for all the ghosts.
