This was a fun YA graphic novel, a queer Mean Girls meets Heathers but with werewolves. The art style was vibrant and pop-y and, and the story overall was fun, dark and easy to follow.

I love them all and I want nothing but the best for the two main characters. But, damn, that ending was ruthless for part of the Squad. I hope they all find peace. This was beautifully written and the art and aesthetic is so nice.

And so begins my descent down the rabbit hole of expensive graphic novels, but look at the artwork and how slick the pages feel! I love "Squad" for its very Archie comics inspired art style, and the wonderfully smart and humorous Sapphic werewolf romance. The characters are all very adorable, their badass werewolf clique is too cute! I do feel like the ending was a bit rushed and unsatisfying, but it was a really visually stimulating graphic novel. So much fun to read!

Solid book, oddly devoid of consequences for murders? I'm noting that here because I have a vague sense that this lack of consequences is an aspect shared across several books I've read lately. The other example that comes to mind is "This Time Tomorrow." Again, I enjoyed that book too but despite consequences being threatened (as in this book) the endings to both are pretty much just happy. I explored, I made some mistakes, and I won! Even though those mistakes had potentially large impacts on others. I don't know. Just an interesting choice I guess.
