Very well writtenand a very clever plot but some of the characters were not described in enough detail to really get a feel for their mannerisms etc

It is said that Agatha Christie began to dislike Poirot and I feel this is increasingly evident as he is now only entering the novels towards the end and very few of his thought processes are being described.  It is now more as if he is being shoe-horned into the books

Found this at the house where we were staying and it was a perfect read. Took place at a girls' boarding school, which made it particularly fun. Have read it before, but still enjoyed trying to remember all of the twists.

I LOVED this book. It had so many twists and turns in the plot that I didn't know what would happen next! It is a murder mystery, but it's not gruesome in that they go into great detail about the death(s). Agatha Christie is one of the greatest mystery authors of all time and she'll always keep you interested! If you enjoy this book there are many others!

Crazy lack of Poirot for a Poirot mystery and I felt like having that revelation be the ending can be a bit reductionist for the mystery it’s kind of like slapping a fantasy element on instead of solving mystery

This one has to be in my top 5 Agatha Christie's books. It is a very intriguing story. As usual, there are a lot of suspects (I ended up suspecting everyone!) and secrets. Again, I had no idea who the murderer was until Poirot did the revealing. I enjoyed the fact that Poirot did not appear in the book until well halfway through. I had by then completely forgotten he was to be involved!

Agatha Christie's writing was so engrossing that it was hard to put the book down.

A marvelous quick read! :) Some of the lines from this one kept coming up in my life! :)
