once you know agatha christie was getting really sick of poirot in the later years of writing about him everything makes sense cause he’s now appearing like 70% of the way into the book and doing a whole lot of nothing

A good one. A little out there. I liked the ending though.

Not my favourite Agatha Christie book.
It was interesting bringing Poirot in so late but it didn’t work for me.  This kind of plot seems like one Kenneth Branagh would be drooling to adapt into a movie and it feels cinematic with all the spy stuff and huge reaction at the end.  But the actual explanation for the plot failed I think in so many ways to be satisfying and the characters felt a bit undeveloped especially the girls involved who felt like missed opportunities for better characterisation and just things to move the plot forward

Another fun mystery by Agatha Christie! She does a great job with her characters. When though this one has a lot of espionage in it (which I tend to not like as much), I enjoyed this one a lot. I really liked the school plotline/setting.
