there was way less murder-scene analysis from Poirot in this book, which is an aspect of her books that i really enjoy. he wasn’t introduced until the last 75 pages or so which was odd and most of his investigating relied on their backgrounds and motive rather than the little details of the death itself which is usually the fun part to hear about. nevertheless, it was still an interesting read and agatha christie never disappoints.

I just wanted a nice cozy academic mystery and this sure delivered gotta say I never see the whole to the dunnit till hercule appears!
Slow start but good mystery. It’s a little weird cause we’re in more recent times but yeah pretty good.
murders and drama at private schools is tragically something i'll always be willing to read, so this wasn't terrible for me even if it was a bit too slow for my liking
A fun read, though I wish there had been more of Poirot! I didn't figure out whodunit but it was still fun!
