I really liked this one! A few plot twists I did not see coming! (And a couple I did). Romance with a bit of mystery, what’s not to love? Wish it were spicier, the fade-to-black scenes felt tamer than some YA I’ve read

This was another great quick and easy audiobook to listen to. I loooooved the characters and the relationship development between the FMC and MMC!! Their back and forth banter and gentle romance was really cute and the narrators did a great job of making the characters lovable and believable. The storyline was a bit dramatic and far-fetched, but there were also some really important messages in there too.
I'm intrigued to see if I enjoy the author's other works as well.
Overall, a nice easy and enjoyable listen.

I enjoyed this story but it all happens in a very short time frame and feels unrealistically rushed.
There is a LOT going on. Missing person, dying people, a "John Doe", insta love, family secrets revealed and lots of car chases. oh, and a pregnant detective who is obviously in labor through the entire story which feels like months but is only 2 or 3 days.
It's definitely a rom-com but also a procedural drama with a mystery thrown in.
