This is a fun, twisty and easy-to-listen-to audiobook that's available on the Audible Plus 'free' catalogue for subscribers. I listened to this today and had a good time with it. The main characters are librarian Lana who is moonlighting as an extra in Hollywood to find her missing sister, and superstar actor Griffin. It's a fun mystery and has a sweet, fade-to-black romance. I had a good time with this one. Brynn Kelly is great at creating these fun mystery romances for Audible.

Unexpectedly, Lana’s sister Vivian drops off the face of the Earth while working on a set for a show. Of course, Lana sets out to look for her and discover what happened by getting herself cast on the same show as an extra (even though she’s a librarian and has never acted in her life). So, she plans to look for her on the day that the whole filming lot is empty and nobody is there, to snoop around and see if she can find any clues related to her sister’s disappearance. She suddenly finds herself stranded with no other than Griffin Hart, a hotshot actor, who she hadn’t even known existed until a couple of days prior. At first, Griffin has no doubt that she is a crazy stalker fan that sneaked in to see him. But once Lana explains her situation, he lets her be. After a moment of pondering that he never actually takes any proactive choices in his life, unlike the characters that he portrays, he decides to tag along and help Lana out. However, neither of them expected that whilst looking for Vivian, they would discover a criminal ring of extortionists and unravel a Hollywood scandal that happened decades ago or that the aforementioned extortion ring would go to great lengths to erase them from their existence.
The story was incredibly entertaining, full of unexpected twists and suspenseful mysteries. It kept me constantly guessing what would happen next. Although the events occurred over a span of three days, the romance didn’t feel forced, and there was room for character development. I loved that Lana’s response to anything stressful or anxious is to use the Dewey Decimal System.
