SPOILERS AHEAD. BE WARNED.

Cheater McCheaterson. In book 1, he was introduced as a “lovable” man whore. Guess what?! He’s married. His wife left him after she witnessed a “I was in a bad place, my head was messed up, she kissed me moment”. I call bs. His twin cheated. He cheated. Negative ghost rider. Nope 👎. If it was just the kiss that would be workable. But he’s all distraught because she is the love of his life and he needs her back. Homeboy in book 1, you were having threesomes. Nope nope nope. You didn’t care about her. You didn’t miss her.

OMG!! Chantal, I just loved this story....who knew Ryan was hiding this secret. Can't believe it took me so long to get to this book, especially with how much I loved the first!!
I adored that Ryan got his second chance, although u really want to jump into the pages and punch out some grabby bitches! The relationship that all the characters have is just beautiful - they are really like a great big family! I especially love the BFF relationship between Summer and Ryan - they crack me up!! Looking forward to Xander's book; I can just tell he is gonna be way intense!

I liked this book. Not as much as the first one tbh but I still loved the characters and loved seeing more or Ryan. He's adorable and cute and sweet.

Some of the book was a little repetitive from the last which was a little annoying since I would have like a bit different type of drama than the same ones over and over.

Besides that I did enjoy the book and will most likely be reading the next one too

Okay, so I'm super surprised this got such good ratings. I'm obviously in a minority of reviewers, but I really didn't love this book at all. I didn't think there was an overlying plot in the least, it was just a series of events. There wasn't a conflict that lasted more than like 15 or so chapters (out of 31). I felt like Taiya and Ryan's story ended about 2/3 of the way through, and then Chantal started laying the ground work for the next story with all the Persephone stuff. If you were asked what the story is about the only answer to give would be to say it's about Taiya and Ryan, but that isn't a real answer. It's not about them falling in love again, that only happened in the first two-thirds. There isn't a darn thing that lasts the whole book.
Quick background, Ryan is Reid's twin (Reid and Summer were featured in Book 1), and his a pretty easy-going guy. We saw him be pretty promiscuous in the first novel, and now we see that was him trying to cope with his wife leaving. Now his wife, Taiya is back and town and trying to get him to sign divorce papers. We are led to believe that some misunderstanding occurred and Taiya thinks Ryan cheated, but we don't get the full story for a little ways into the book. The only time we really see Taiya's personality is at the beginning, and we a fiery, but hurt woman. Once she is with Ryan, though, her characterization seems to go out the window. Then, she is just a woman in love with Ryan who isn't afraid to take charge in the bedroom.
This book really needed some work. I would've loved to see more conflict, or perhaps this just needed to be a novella, since Chantal Fernando didn't find that much to write about them.
However, I will say that all the stuff that happened in the last 1/3 of the book, with Persephone, does make me a bit excited about her story
Spoilerthough speaking of her, I thought she was oddly accepting and calm about the news that she had twin brothers. I feel like most people would be more hesitant before just trusting them as much as she seems to

He cheats (yeah just a kiss but with this douche I am sure more would have happened I don't care what he says) and she literally runs to another continent. Of course she's the bad guy - he wants his wife back so bad. And she left a note telling him to move on. Of course he misses her bad. How bad you ask? Well not bad enough to follow her to Africa but bad enough to fuck half the town in an effort to forget her. Yeah its one of THOSE books. And guess whose celibate this entire time instead? I loathe this double standard crap. And of course a quarter of the way in, after saying she wouldn't take him back, she does. And the rest of the book is them fucking and him continually running into women he's screwed while she was gone. I think I eye-rolled all the while skimming to the end. I felt like I was reading a book about high school kids it was so juvenile. She tries to act tough but is basically pathetic in the face of her 'hot' husband and he's 'trying so hard' to show her he loves her while dodging all the women he's been with. Worst of all its Boring.
