I need more...

There was a lot to unpack in this book. Overall, I really enjoyed it. At times, I felt the story was really rushed. There's almost too much going on given the length of the book. This should have either been longer or spread out over a few books. I loved the friendships and the tension between the FMC and MMC. One minor thing for me would be to request character names at the beginning of a chapter if it is switching between points of view. There were a few chapters where it took me a second to figure out what was going on. It's a minor thing but helps prevent confusion.

As much as I enjoyed reading Quinn and Faust story, I kept feeling the need for more from them. True definition of enemies to lovers but enemies for 98% of the book. I loved the prequel and the house of ydril was almost as enjoyable to me as
Keeper of the runes.

A fun mix of Harry Potter, ACOTAR, and the Hunger Games. Slow burn enemies to lovers. Spice level 2.5-3

Not exactly the book I was expecting. The blurb advertised one thing, and it wasn't anything I expected. I thought there was going to be more spice, more adult reactions, and more character and romance development. The story was a bit more YA except for the last chapter that had the spice. The plot was plotting though and I did love the mystery behind Quinns heritage and the academy. It was pretty obvious who the bad guy was, but I still enjoyed the build up.
