Aphra Behn is pretty gutsy. This was good. Marriage is about money. Love is a privilege when, as a woman, you are simply trying to survive political, social, and economic structures that limit your movement and ability to thrive.

Aphra Behn is quite the gal. She shows how marriage truly sucks for women in the 17th century but is also a way to survive in a world not made for them.

I liked this more than The Rover, but not by that much.

Not my cup of tea. I wouldn't necessarily recommend it unless British Restoration Drama is your forte. It was funny in some parts however, it felt like it drags on forever and a day. Read at your own risk.
