3.5 I am new to the psychological thriller genre and this one definitely kept me on my toes. It’s not one you can predict at all from the beginning. In some ways, the middle kind of lost me (especially when it got a bit gorey and gruesome for my taste), but the end brought it back around. I’m curious where the other books go from here.

Warning: so, so much language. It was sometimes hard to read because it had so much language. This alone makes me think I probably won’t read the rest of the trilogy even though the story was compelling.
