O carte cu o actiune alerta, care m-a prins de la primele pagini. 

Sunt fan al serialelor precum Dosarele X, Lost, Twin Peaks si orice tip de film sau serial care introduce elemente supranaturale in viata de zi cu zi, prin urmare am devorat prima parte a acestei serii, afland cu incantare la final ca autorul s-a inspirat foarte mult din unul din serialele enumerate mai sus in crearea orasului Wayward Pines. 

Asadar, astept cu nerăbdare sa continui povestea.

Honestly...what did I just listen to 🤯?!

I know the 𝘞𝘢𝘺𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘥 𝘗𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘴 series has at least one tv adaptation out and one other coming out this week; part of the reason I wanted to read this. 

I'm so happy I went with the audio because the narrator truly captured the creepiness of this book. At the risk of sounding insane, I can see this being not far off of the world's future reality, the way things are going. 

Perfect spooky season series! Now to watch the series!!

Ugh, I wanted to love this way more. Blake Crouch’s writing amazed and shocked me in both Dark Matter and Recursion, but this one fell flat for me. Its pace was slower in the middle section and I found myself getting bored at how many scenes were just Ethan crawling through the woods. I wanted more in the way of plot.

Then, in the last 30 pages of the book, things picked up with a twist in classic Blake Crouch style. These pages were my favorite of the whole novel.

The entire purpose of this book was to set up the Wayward Pines series, outside of that, it’s not a standalone masterpiece.
