What does it take for a woman to build an empire? Renée Rosen has the answer in FIFTH AVENUE GLAMOUR GIRL, a glamorous and lively tale of two scrappy, resilient, flawed women whose friendship endures decades of unburied secrets and unbridled ambitions. Once I started reading, I could not stop. Estée Lauder may have been able to tell you if you were a winter or a spring, but there’s no doubt in my mind: Renée Rosen is always in season.

Like the perfect red lipstick, Fifth Avenue Glamour Girl is both utterly stylish and satisfying. Renée Rosen deftly shows us what a determined dreamer Estee Lauder was and, in so doing, creates a heroine as timeless and remarkable as the products she introduced to women all around the world. A truly inspiring rags to riches tale, told by a wonderful storyteller.

Started out slow and just got slower. Also poorly written.
