LET ME TELL YOU I DEVOURED THIS BOOK! Carissa did a wonderful job keeping the suspense going and throwing us just enough "romance" to keep you going. The slow burn, angst, pining was well worth the roller-coaster ride this put you through. I already downloaded the novella and book 2 cause I need to know whats next for Oraya and Raihn!

This was such a fun read, but I wasn’t crazy about the ending.  I will definitely be continuing the series though! It was fun, entertaining, and gave me all the hunger games/ twilight/ ACOTAR vibes! Can’t wait to see how it ends.

“After all, vampires know better than anyone how important it is to protect their hearts. And love, understand, is sharper than any stake.”

Oraya is probably my favorite female main character that I’ve read about in quite some time. I always lean towards my favorite character being the male love interest (definitely enjoyed Raihn’s company

This. Boooooook.

Booktok came through on this one. Not only a 5 star read, but I would put this up there with one of the best I've read in the last few years. I'm hooked - now I have to wait a month for the next one

Such a fun book to read! I loved the "hunger games" style contest and the slow-burn romance. The twists at the end make me excited to see how the next book unfolds!
