Window Shopping, by Tessa Bailey

A cute and yet utterly spicy holiday read.

This was a quick read with a grumpy heroine and sunshine hero workplace romance. Stella is a newly released prisoner in search for a fresh start when she meets the bowtie wearing Aidan in front of the window displace of his department store. After Stella bashes his window decorator, Aidan implies that she apply for the position. With that, the boss + employee lust begins. Tessa Bailey wrote likable characters with equal parts humor, romance and spice that makes you hot. I definitely recommend this spicy holiday rom-com novel.

Such a cute holiday read! I really enjoyed that this jumped right into the romance. It was cute and cheesy, and a quick read. I love the dynamic between Aiden and Stella. The only downfall for me, was the ending felt a little rushed. I wish this book was 2-3 chapters longer! I can’t wait to read more from Tessa Bailey.

Phew!! I am feeling some type of way. Loved the characters. Loved the storyline. LOVED the smut. Definitely a new favorite. Now I need ALL of Tessa Bailey’s books.

why oh why have i never read a Tessa Bailey book before??? i think i’m hooked after this one. do i care that i just read a Christmas book in August? absolutely not!!

the book was obviously short - being only 250 pages - compared to most others, and i think that’s why the plot felt like it happened so quick. but on the other hand… i didn’t actually care. i loved how fast paced it was, the whole thing was the perfect blend of cute and hot.

on that note - MISS BAILEY WE NEED TO HAVE A WORD ABOUT THE WAY YOU WRITE 🌶🌶🌶!! every single time there was a spicy scene, i was left hot under the collar. THE DIRTY TALK🥵🥵🥵 Aiden was literally the definition of ‘gentlemen in the streets, freak in the sheets’ and i’m so glad for it. feels like i damn near used up all my pink sticky tabs.

i can’t wait to read more of Tessa’s books now, especially if they’re even half as good as this one.

Pretty cringe. Im down for cutesty, as long as it's SLIGHTLY believable. I'm also not a fan of the "instalove" trope. It's boring and feels super embarassing.

Ultimately, I think this would have been much better as a Solo POV, or at the very least minimal POV from Aiden sprinkled near the end. As is, it was really repetitive between the two characters.

The dialogue made me roll my eyes so many times I thought they might get stuck.
