I'm not an insta-love romantic but this book was cute and perfect for the season

All over tiktok they said it's a Christmas book, I didn't get Christmas vibes unfortunately. It felt like a regular romance that could happen any time of the year.

I liked that Stella just came out of prison and that we get an inside look in how that feels and works.
Also loved the dorkiness of Aiden.

Didn't like the love at first sight trope. That's probably just me, feels unrealistic for me. But if you like this trope, it might be a nice book for you!

This was not that great but I did enjoy it. A LOT of the sex/dirty talk did make me majorly cringe, it felt so performative rather than sexy. A cute idea but needed to be developed much more than it was for me to truly believe in this love story.

A cute little palate cleanser/reading slump book. I wouldn't really call it a grumpy/sunshine book. He was sunshiny-ish, she was more unsure/insecure than grumpy.

SpoilerWould probably rate it 3.5 but the finger in his butt knocked it down to a 3.

Not a fan of insta love or the harsh life reality for a Christmas book

Also the ending was entirelyyy too rushed. Tessa Bailey really needed an extra 100 pages to make this right

My first Tessa Bailey book!

Hot and cute, with a grumpy (her) / sunshine (him) dynamic.

But if I’d read this at the beginning of my romance book phase.. I would have never gotten into it because the setting and story was so ridiculous!

I was so taken out of the book every time it mentions that Stella was ARRESTED FOR ARMED ROBBERY AND JUST GOT OUT OF PRISON AND IS NOW DECORATING WINDOWS ON 5TH AVENUE??????
