Somehow, even though his books have a lighthearted feel, he packs them with emotionally charged, in depth looks at human nature. In this one, a group of anxious people are viewing an apartment when a bank robbery gone wrong turns into a hostage situation.
This wasn't what I expected at all but I really enjoyed it!
The writing was both beautiful and funny, the characters were unique, and the message of the book was really touching. I thought it was such an interesting way to show the impact people can have on each other's lives.
