The plot is shallow but I just can't get enough of Drew!

There are a lot of intense scenes here, compared to the previous one but Drew's POV is always better. Finished it in one sitting!

Yeah ... I tried with this one. The sad thing is that I was so excited for it.... and yet they dropped my least favourite trope as a surprise and then Drew just becomes the biggest fucking asshole and I honestly don't want to see these guys live happily ever after.....

This is because the plot was kinda ridiculous. The big problem that caused all the mess was lame. It pissed me off and it was not-at-all believable. It kinda felt like she did the same thing with Tangled except, this time, it didn't work.

Drew kinda screwed up but after a lot of thought, I've come to the conclusion that he's not the only one who did. They were both to blame. I agree that Drew reacted badly but that's really all he did wrong in the entire book. And that issue got resolved.

The only thing that made this book good for me was Drew's POV in the epilogue. That was amazing and I loved it. That and Mackenzie.

The writing style was the same as the previous (minus the humour) but it didn't work for Kate. It was great with Drew, he made it fun and enjoyable but Kate just annoyed me. I wish that the author had done something different because I just didn't like being in Kate's head much. It was too dramatic and frustrating because I knew what going on, what the problem was. At the beginning of chapter 10, I skipped ahead to see when the stupidity would end and then came back. That's how annoying it was. I also didn't get Billy. He seems totally different from Tangled. Not the same person at all. Confusing.

Last, but not least, I know many people are saying that this book was dragged and should've been a novella. I agree with then whole-heartedly. Not really a book worth reading all of. If you have money to spare, buy it and skim through. Otherwise, I wouldn't bother...

Okay so ngl this book did elicit some reactions from me but the whole mess was literally over nothing.
I mean I did cry, swoon and laugh but I think I would've preferred it if all those reactions had been over something more serious than just some issues like unnecessary miscommunication, misunderstandings, assumptions, lies., etc. Not that I'm saying or implying that miscommunication is a non - serious issue but I just think that it was all so very stupidly handled in this book.

I didn't like this as much as the first that's for sure. I understand the reasoning behind it being in Kate's POV, but the book definitely didn't have the same flare. In Tangled, we have the humour, the honest guy POV. With Twisted being in Kate's POv, I was expecting at least humour. But I found her voice to be basic, like every other girl's, unlike Drew's distinctive one.

The story line was a little blah as well. I guessed what the big "thing" that happens in this in the first chapter. The rest was typical, almost clichéd.

Love the ending. And of course the epilogue was the best.

I really enjoyed this book. It was hard at 1st to get use to Kate telling the story after Drew telling the 1st one but loved how Kate has a darker wild side & growing up was so different to how we got to know her in the 1st book.
Laughed my head off in this book, got all hot under the collar and also cried.
Brilliant!!!

This book is mostly in the fmc pov until the last 15% or so. Listened on audio which worked great for the writing style just like the previous books in the series. Would suggest reading those first.

I don’t love miscommunication as a trope and that’s what this whole book was set on, almost to a fault. It was almost unrealistic how neither character would come right out and say what they thought was the truth about the situation.

Once that was cleared up, we got some of the mmc characters with the same raunchy humor as the first books. Both narrators did a great job and this writing is really unique from everything else on the market.
