This is a stunning book. Heartbreaking and necessary, hopeful in a strange way, and far too real despite being fiction. The language and subject matter can be hard to take at times but the experience of the Strangers is not uncommon among many Indigenous families. This book gives voice to their stories and speak to the generational impact of all this country did to those who lived here first.
